Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 17th minute Hector Pello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timo Staarman hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Harry Mik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 22 minutes Leiden Spor Kulubu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Harry Mik despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 25th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Mik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harry Mik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 37th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Mik having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Hector Pello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hector Pello had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hector Pello to make the kick off. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Joost de Zaaijer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joost de Zaaijer hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Harry Mik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of the match. Leiden Spor Kulubu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iwan van Heiningen in the 70th minute. Leiden Spor Kulubu's Frank Evans was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Evans came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Pello in the 79th minute of play. Frank Evans took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Pello in the 91st minute of play. Hector Pello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Leiden Spor Kulubu had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
