Kléber Queirós hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Kléber Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Pinho in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. Kaká Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Oscar Saldanha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jaime Pardo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Queirós in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Claudinho Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Squadra Demarchi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinho Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Kléber Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Squadra Demarchi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléber Queirós couldn't finish the play. After 31 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Queirós. Xavier Zoido hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Kaká Simão struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Squadra Demarchi. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Cléber Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 63 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Alan Campos. Kaká Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 73rd minute, Kléber Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kléber Queirós in the 81st minute. In the 88th minute, Xavier Zoido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulinho Paraibano went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the game, Jose Sanz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Squadra Demarchi's Richard Moura quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
