Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Oscar Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Pinho came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Squadra Demarchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Oscar Saldanha but with some difficulty. Kléber Queirós scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kaká Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Claudinho Pinho struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Squadra Demarchi. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Simão in the 24th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Queirós came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Kléber Queirós notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Simão in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Claudinho Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Oscar Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Noboa went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 59th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute Paulinho Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Squadra Demarchi's Claudinho Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oscar Saldanha came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer. But to his dismay, Aaron Alcocer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Squadra Demarchi's Kléber Queirós fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 88th minute, Hugo Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléber Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aaron Alcocer went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.
