Aguinhas's Walmyr Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of play. Walmyr Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albérico Neto. Walmyr Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 38th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmyr Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Rouco made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Joel Gaona however managed to control. After a rather tough play, Aguinhas's Faudel Gaume got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Walmyr Queirós. Aguinhas's Albérico Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aguinhas made a substitution. Gilson Quadros replaced Albérico Neto. Walmyr Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Aguinhas defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walmyr Queirós. The Aguinhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walmyr Queirós should have stopped the shot. Alberto Tafalla hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. David Malsepica hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Aguinhas's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmyr Queirós came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Aguinhas.
