Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. 42 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Magno Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dave Panno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 44th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Dave Panno made the kick off in the second half. In the 80th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Magno Correia. Magno Correia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 90thth minute of the game Rafael Gallo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mamutes EC's Magno Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Mamutes EC's Magno Correia got control of the ball when Antonio Tenorio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tor Svensson in the 94 minute of the game. Peru played a much better game than Mamutes EC and deserved their victory. The Mamutes EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
