The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Vymyslivka getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Matviy Kyslytsya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Vymyslivka's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matviy Kyslytsya came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honduras's attentive Sebastian Villa managed to snatch the ball when Anton Ruday made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

53 minutes in the game Anton Ruday did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Anatoliy Pokladok. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Matviy Kyslytsya, 0-3. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes Vymyslivka got a freekick which was hit by Sergiy Vaschuk. Anton Ruday made in the 72nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Anatoliy Pokladok. Bogdan Gurskyi hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Vymyslivka's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Matviy Kyslytsya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes Vymyslivka got a freekick which was hit by Zakhar Severyn. Matviy Kyslytsya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matviy Kyslytsya. Matviy Kyslytsya yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matviy Kyslytsya saved Vymyslivka from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Edmundo Espiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Villa got free with Matviy Kyslytsya in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
