A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Duarte came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Arce in the 22nd minute of the match. Teodoro Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Vicente Hernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Teodoro Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sinsacote AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Duarte couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 52nd minute of play forced Sinsacote AFC's goalkeeper Primitivo Domiku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodoro Duarte. In the 54th minute of the match, Joel Arce tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Primitivo Domiku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Duarte in the 57th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Primitivo Domiku saved Sinsacote AFC from getting behind. In the 61st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Teodoro Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sinsacote AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Hernandez hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Domiku breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 75 minutes, Joel Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sinsacote AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Teodoro Duarte reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 0-1. Teodoro Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Primitivo Domiku. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, Teodoro Duarte notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
