The referee gave Mexico a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joel Gaona, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ya Perdimos F.C.'s Paulo Duarte. 0-1. In the 11th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Paulo Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. When Faron Castrejana came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ya Perdimos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faron Castrejana couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Ya Perdimos F.C. defense, Luca Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Duarte. The Ya Perdimos F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Duarte should have stopped the shot. Paulo Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Paulo Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Luca Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Charro Dieguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 played minutes Ya Perdimos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Fonseca. Paulo Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Faron Castrejana came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faron Castrejana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Duarte. That made the score 0-4 after 51 minutes of play. In the 55th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Faron Castrejana notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 62nd minute of play forced Ya Perdimos F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulo Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ya Perdimos F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulo Duarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ya Perdimos F.C.'s Reinaldo Gancedo got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo Duarte. Paulo Duarte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Ya Perdimos F.C. made a substitution. Artal Alzorbe replaced Álvaro Fonseca. Ya Perdimos F.C.'s Paulo Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Ya Perdimos F.C. from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Paulo Duarte successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Saramago in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Saramago in the 79th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when José Saramago came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ya Perdimos F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reinaldo Gancedo in the 81st minute. After 82 minutes of play, Ya Perdimos F.C.'s Reinaldo Gancedo made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ya Perdimos F.C..
