Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 35th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Orlando Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Augusto Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Falcão Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 54th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Alessandro Luther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute Gracie Barra were awarded a corner. Rubens Rezende went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Gracie Barra's Rubens Rezende to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Manzanares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Gracie Barra left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Colombia.
