Rubite FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesaro Solano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Moises Fernandino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peru Aranzubia. Rubite FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moises Fernandino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Peru Aranzubia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 41st minute. Peru Aranzubia was a little too slow when Moises Fernandino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abram Luque during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Cesaro Solano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

A sloppy throw-in by Xamo Rey in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo. 60 minutes into the match, Moises Fernandino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peru Aranzubia. Rubite FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moises Fernandino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 64 minutes into the match, Rubite FC's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Peru Aranzubia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Jesus Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Rubite FC defense, Moises Fernandino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peru Aranzubia. The Rubite FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peru Aranzubia should have stopped the shot. Cesaro Solano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Moises Fernandino hit a great ball. Ricardo Zorita acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hermelando Medina. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo got a free kick in the 87th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 4-2. Cesaro Solano came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ricardo Zorita could save by the left post. El Salvador's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
