An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 11th minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Federico Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Hugo Itzaina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Federico Fe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Trapiche's Federico Fe. Federico Fe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the match, Trapiche's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Federico Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Fe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Feliciano Porfiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Saverio Osasun showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 46 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliciano Porfiro made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 51st minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Federico Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 51st minute. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo managed to work through Trapiche's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Lautaro Mancebo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Trapiche's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Trapiche's Federico Fe managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Trapiche getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Albino Remir hit a great ball. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Trapiche's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 69th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Trapiche's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Federico Fe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Trapiche's Federico Fe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 70th minute of play. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Federico Fe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes of play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Federico Fe was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Trapiche's Federico Fe did a great save. 84 minutes into the match, Trapiche's goalkeeper Federico Fe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. After 85 minutes of play, Mexico's Luca Rouco made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Federico Fe was left in no man's land by his defense there! 88 minutes into the game, Saverio Osasun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Federico Fe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 95th minute of play.
