In the 14th minute, Kléber Queirós made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Emanuel Ocampo put in a rough tackle. 20 minutes into the game, one of Honduras:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Squadra Demarchi a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kaká Simão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. 0-2. In the 27th minute of the game Ivan Navarro made a throw-in which Sebastian Villa played forward. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Vidal hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 38 minutes, Nelson Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Squadra Demarchi and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Vidal. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! The referee gave Squadra Demarchi a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Honduras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Squadra Demarchi were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinho Pinho to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Squadra Demarchi's Lautaro Navarro threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kaká Simão, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Claudinho Loyola who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Honduras booed when Squadra Demarchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Navarro made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Squadra Demarchi's Richard Moura. Claudinho Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Pinho in the 82nd minute of the match.
