Camilo Gisbert made in the 8th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Andino. Frank Frankfurter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Frank Frankfurter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Frankfurter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Frankfurter was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Giannis Michaloliakos notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Giannis Michaloliakos managed to get in a good position for a shot. AQUILES's supporters rose to their feet, but Giannis Michaloliakos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giannis Michaloliakos's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that Giannis Michaloliakos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Frank Frankfurter in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Prospero Fix struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AQUILES. Daniel Zorita scored 2-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Frankfurter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute, Prospero Fix made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prospero Fix in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 87th play minutes Prospero Fix shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Fix in the 94th minute of play.
