Falcão Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rohan Watson went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Pedro Velloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Falcão Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luka Harris in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilton Botelho in the 94th minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canada's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
