Expreso del oeste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Lartaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jason Ghost in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Lartaun came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. Orlando Casaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Fernanco having to interfere. The supporters of Chile booed when Expreso del oeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernan Fernanco having to make a save. 86 minutes into the game, Chile's Orlando Casaus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernan Fernanco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 89 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Expreso del oeste's Hernan Fernanco. Hernan Fernanco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gerardo Pozo kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Matias Sein kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Chile players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
