Iwo Pawlik kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Urbano Saturnin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 34th minute of play. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42ndth minute of the game Joseph Asklöv who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Elia Di Vincenzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Asklöv, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Sao Brasola defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urbano Saturnin. The Sao Brasola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbano Saturnin should have stopped the shot. Urbano Saturnin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 65th minute of play forced Sao Brasola's goalkeeper Urbano Saturnin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Saturnin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 75th minute of the match. After 79 minutes Sao Brasola's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Cesare Punta sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Sao Brasola getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Lu Jian Feng hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph Asklöv came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
