An unexpectedly hard shot by Sindre Walle in the 17th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Hansen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Nordsjælland's Jeppe Tverskov got a free kick in the 27th minute. Andreas Hansen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Andreas Hansen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miguel Miralles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sindre Walle's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, FC Nordsjælland's Jeppe Tverskov got a free kick in the 44th minute. After 47 minutes, Abraham Alguacil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the FC Nordsjælland players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abraham Alguacil kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 49th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Alguacil to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mads Hansen was the one to do the kick off. Andreas Hansen made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 55th minute of play forced FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Andreas Hansen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Yulian Kichukov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Hansen saved FC Nordsjælland from getting behind. Felipe Ros hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The supporters of Panama booed when FC Nordsjælland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeppe Tverskov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Yulian Kichukov made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. FC Nordsjælland's Andreas Hansen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save FC Nordsjælland from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, FC Nordsjælland's Andreas Hansen got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 88 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. Andreas Hansen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute, Sindre Walle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Panama walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
