Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Lartaun in the 5th minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Expreso del oeste's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Luca Rouco heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaby Diares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Expreso del oeste's goalkeeper Hernan Fernanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. The Expreso del oeste fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Expreso del oeste's Constantino Lartaun looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Lartaun in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was a well-played corner which Luca Zorita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 37th minute of play forced Expreso del oeste's goalkeeper Hernan Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Anda hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Gaby Diares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. If Honorio Mikeldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th match minute, Expreso del oeste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Sein to maneuver through the defense. Matias Sein hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernan Fernanco skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Fernanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Anda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Hernan Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 68th minute of the match. If Honorio Mikeldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jason Ghost could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Matias Sein kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Hernan Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 87th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Expreso del oeste's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Hernan Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Lartaun in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Expreso del oeste eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
