In the 30thth minute of the game Cassius Byrne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vanadio F.C.'s Paulin Sequeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The excitement rose when USA's Cassius Byrne after 38 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Vanadio F.C.'s goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-1. The supporters of Vanadio F.C. booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob May didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The supporters of Vanadio F.C. booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zach Harrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Vanadio F.C. could leave the field as winners, despite USA having more of the ball for most of the match.
