Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Refugio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 8th minute. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Lanegan FC's Abelardo Brais fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Axel Tasis fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Axel Tasis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ruperto Refugio sent off a good shot on target. After 14 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melquiades Sendoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abelardo Brais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 29th minute. Abelardo Brais took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Lanegan FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Ruperto Refugio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruperto Refugio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ruperto Refugio struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanegan FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ruperto Refugio made the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Melquiades Sendoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Narciso Millrick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Narciso Millrick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Melquiades Sendoa. Axel Tasis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. 70 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Refugio came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Ruperto Refugio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. If Abelardo Brais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 88 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. 93 minutes into the match, Lanegan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Melquiades Sendoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blas Basualdo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 97 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet.
