When Kader Gonet came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the NIKE Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kader Gonet couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Kader Gonet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Kader Gonet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kader Gonet. With his leg Pedro Manzanares managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when NIKE Academy's Kader Gonet fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kader Gonet might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kader Gonet ran back to his position shaking his head. Ola Wall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Carballar, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kader Gonet in the 32nd minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Mastache. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lu Lin made a great header on NIKE Academy's corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Christoforos Manousopoulos took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. Ola Wall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. Abram Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Joshua Garrido heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 61 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. The supporters of Colombia booed when NIKE Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ola Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ola Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Pascual Carballar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. In the 70th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Carballar to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute Oskar Lägdin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Åberg got a throw-in 77 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kader Gonet. Abram Secada received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ola Wall came out and tried to block the shot, but Abram Secada slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 78th minute. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoforos Manousopoulos in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to NIKE Academy getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Anton Martinsson hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, NIKE Academy's goalkeeper Ola Wall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abram Secada. NIKE Academy's Ola Wall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 91st minute of play. In the 96th minute, Anton Martinsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
