Melquiades Sendoa came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Edmundo Espiga. But to his dismay, Edmundo Espiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Lanegan FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jonathan Curcio hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Lanegan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Melquiades Sendoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Narciso Millrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Melquiades Sendoa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute of the game Alfonso Lamberto made a throw-in which Abelardo Brais played forward. In the 69th minute Ruperto Refugio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lanegan FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Melquiades Sendoa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes Lanegan FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Lamberto. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Melquiades Sendoa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Narciso Millrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Brais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
