Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bieito Villaurreta got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Juan Diego Tenorio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Tauro Camero quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Paulo Laurentzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Criciúma Esporte Clube were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Paraguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paulo Laurentzi took the corner. After 14 minutes of play, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bieito Villaurreta took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Juan Diego Tenorio hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Luiz Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes of play, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute, Paulo Laurentzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Criciúma Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. 43 minutes into the match, Paulo Laurentzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Laurentzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Paulo Laurentzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Paulo Laurentzi had several of the Paraguay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 51 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-9 score and a disappointed Jacobo Nores as he didn't even see the shot coming. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Paulo Laurentzi in the 56 minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Laurentzi in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. Evelio Antoniano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Jaime Pardo made a precise shot to the right of Evelio Antoniano. Criciúma Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Laurentzi in the 69th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Laurentzi's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Paulo Laurentzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. After 82 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Pardo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Laurentzi got free with Jacobo Nores in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Laurentzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 played minutes Criciúma Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Emin Kamer. Zenon Zapolski hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
