AVISMU FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colombia the free kick. Urdin Pacheco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Carballar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Erhard Grunewald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AVISMU FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Erhard Grunewald came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Colombia players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
