After a rather tough play, Maritek FC's Daniele Gaudino got a free kick in the 5th minute. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Lepori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 12 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adriano Santoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Maritek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Abete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Leoni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Edmondo Lepori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 29th minute, Chiawuotu Adato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beppe Bassani hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmondo Lepori having to make a save. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Edmondo Lepori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Lepori having to interfere. The supporters of Maritek FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maritek FC's Edmondo Lepori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Maritek FC from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, Maritek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Edmondo Lepori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Santoro in the 59th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmondo Lepori. That made the score 0-1 after 61 minutes of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edmondo Lepori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 71st minute. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmondo Lepori. Edmondo Lepori dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute of the match Beppe Bassani sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Maritek FC's Adriano Santoro got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. After 92 minutes, Adriano Santoro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maritek FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maritek FC's Adriano Santoro got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
