Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hitzeder Manrique. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rainerio Obis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Radoslaw Kocieniewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hitzeder Manrique was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Rolando Amorebieta made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Gabriel Martinelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hitzeder Manrique in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Amorebieta in the 58th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Boca Juniors's Jacinto Cuadrado. Jacinto Cuadrado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 69 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Rainerio Obis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Boca Juniors's Diego Napier was substituted for Gabriel Martinelli. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Jacinto Cuadrado made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arkadiusz Banaszak in the 84th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacinto Cuadrado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Ecuador players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Boca Juniors from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
