Daniel Belon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Belon. Cosa nostra Lyon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 16thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cosa nostra Lyon's Daniel Belon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Belon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cosa nostra Lyon's Daniel Belon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 25th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Cosa nostra Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Brice Idoux. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brice Idoux didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Belon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 36th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 46th minute of play forced Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Daniel Belon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Daniel Belon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 53 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Belon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Belon. Daniel Belon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Daniel Belon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of play. Daniel Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-10 in the 64th playminute. A hard shot 70 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Daniel Belon managed to make a qualified save. Cosa nostra Lyon's players were relieved. In the 74th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Belon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Belon came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-15. In the 85th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Belon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Belon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Daniel Belon in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Cosa nostra Lyon defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Belon. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Belon should have stopped the shot. Daniel Belon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-17 in the 91 minute of play. After some careless play in the Cosa nostra Lyon defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Belon. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Belon should have stopped the shot.
