With an all-out effort, Sporting de Gijón's Eulalio Paskal threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Matias Bilintx, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Albigasta FC's Eulalio Paskal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Maradona in the 9th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Eulalio Paskal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 14th minute, Matias Bilintx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Eulalio Paskal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Bilintx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Bilintx scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eulalio Paskal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Maradona in the 24th minute of play forced Albigasta FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Paskal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Albigasta FC's Eulalio Paskal got control of the ball when Diego Maradona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Salvator, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Albigasta FC defense, Matias Bilintx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eulalio Paskal. The Albigasta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eulalio Paskal should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Alejandro Rufo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 33 minutes, Genaro Abilio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albigasta FC and the Sporting de Gijón players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when Albigasta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Abilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eulalio Paskal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Maradona in the 34th minute of play. Diego Maradona who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Eulalio Paskal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 39 minutes into the game, Matias Bilintx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Eulalio Paskal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Matias Bilintx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eulalio Paskal was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 48th minute, Saturnino Curcio made a precise shot to the right of Eulalio Paskal. Albigasta FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

But to his dismay, Saturnino Curcio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 66th minute, Diego Maradona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Eulalio Paskal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Bilintx in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Loiola to maneuver through the defense. Sporting de Gijón's Kauan de Barros was substituted for Atilano Feo. In the 75th minute, Eustacio Loiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eulalio Paskal didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sporting de Gijón's Diego Maradona shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 11-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 92nd match minute, Albigasta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Faro to maneuver through the defense.
