Ildefonso Arixo was slow to take the kick. During this time Guansa's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Guansa's Ildefonso Arixo to fire away a dangerous shot which Óscar Cordoba despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Guansa were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Sporting de Gijón's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ildefonso Arixo took the corner. In the 36th minute, Yuan Lin Shi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting de Gijón reached it.
