The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sergio Austin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Esteban José Andrada when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Esteban José Andrada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Sancho in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damaso Sancho in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteban José Andrada saved Guansa from getting behind. Congo Bongo's Máté Márton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Sandalio in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Congo Bongo booed when Guansa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Arixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Sergio Austin put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Esteban José Andrada. With a little luck, Congo Bongo's Máté Márton got control of the ball when Yuan Lin Shi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Guansa defense, Damaso Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteban José Andrada. The Guansa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteban José Andrada should have stopped the shot. Damaso Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Congo Bongo's Arnaldo Oidor got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Guansa's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Sancho came free, but Esteban José Andrada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Wu Hong Ning threw the ball into play from the sideline. Guansa's Victoriano Dalmu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in Congo Bongo's zone, Aaron Sandalio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 89th match minute, Congo Bongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franz Beckenbauer to maneuver through the defense. Kaj-Åke Kaká hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Congo Bongo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Guansa for a fine match.
