Murilo Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ove Malm in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Óscar Cordoba saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Marcos Siqueira got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
