In the 8th minute Linus Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yin Yang. After 12 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Arixo. Gustavo Tartalo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juan Carlos Alvarez. Marlin FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Soroca F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustavo Tartalo in the 19th minute. After 24 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Arixo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Tartalo in the 24th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led to Marlin FC's Dionisio Panpili getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 34th minute Hernan Lano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Alvarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Lano came free, but Juan Carlos Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrián Espadas to make the kick off. Juan Carlos Alvarez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrián Espadas in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrián Espadas in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Carlos Alvarez saved Marlin FC from getting behind. In the 56thth minute of the game Adrián Espadas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute Giovanni Rana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
