In the 56th minute, one of Congo Bongo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Congo Bongo. Máté Márton had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Iordanis Karatzaferis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 2-0 came in the 58th minute when Iordanis Karatzaferis all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Máté Márton. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Godofredo Quilino replaced Gustavo Tartalo. Congo Bongo's Gonzalo Cucho was substituted for Kaj-Åke Kaká. Congo Bongo's Sergio Austin was substituted for Iker Atarrabi. Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Iaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Răzvan Necula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Máté Márton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Răzvan Necula in the 87th minute of the match. Cyprien Combaz made a great header on Soroca F.C.'s corner, it was just that Congo Bongo's Máté Márton managed to reach the ball for a save. 93 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Iaki came free, but Dan Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Wennerqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Cucho in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Soroca F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Congo Bongo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
