Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Etxahun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Enzo Dominguez sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Etxahun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Tomas Etxahun. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 17th minute Enzo Dominguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play forced Aerolineas Argentinas FC's goalkeeper Tomas Etxahun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aerolineas Argentinas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Felix Montes drilling the ball in to score 1-3 behind Aerolineas Argentinas FC's goalkeeper. Tomas Etxahun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomas Etxahun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.

The wind increased when Enzo Dominguez made the kick off in the second half. Baldomiro Evangelista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Gabriel Alcántara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Gabriel Alcántara kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Aerolineas Argentinas FC's goalkeeper Tomas Etxahun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 58th match minute, Aerolineas Argentinas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Ederono to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Sebastian Lübeck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomas Etxahun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aerolineas Argentinas FC made a substitution. Celso Soin replaced Alfredo Jurgi. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tomas Etxahun firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 80th minute. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Tomas Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Tomas Etxahun got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
