After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Esteban Loi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Esteban Loi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aniceto Campello in the 13th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aniceto Campello got free with Julio Vera in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gunnar Hake was slow to take the kick. During this time Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's players had a chance to rest. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Esteban Loi sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aniceto Campello in the 33rd minute of the match. Erhan İren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aniceto Campello had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 42nd minute, Esteban Loi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.

John Ryberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Aniceto Campello succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erhan İren came out and tried to block the shot, but Agustín Saelices slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 59th minute. Erhan İren made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute Raul Rito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aniceto Campello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's Esteban Loi in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Cristofol couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho scored 4-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erhan İren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Cristofol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Elias Cristofol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
