Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Gaitan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Mirea, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After some careless play in the UM Timisoara defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Gaitan. The UM Timisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Gaitan should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, UM Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Juan Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basarab Drăgoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera had great luck who in the 26thth minute grab hold of the ball when Paul Mirea from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paul Mirea's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Juan Gaitan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. UM Timisoara's Yuri Mourato pulled a muscle in his back after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Gaitan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, UM Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Juan Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 56th minute. Basarab Drăgoi hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Gaitan having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Mirea, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute of the match UM Timisoara got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vlad Ghionaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Mirea in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Dobrica in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UM Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Bungescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. UM Timisoara's Emanuel Dobrica got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernest Oardă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Gaitan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than UM Timisoara.
