In the 3rd minute, Moises Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléber Queirós in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Ivan Navarro got a throw-in 11 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sebastian Villa. Nelson Vidal's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Vidal. Kléber Queirós took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Saldanha. Squadra Demarchi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to Squadra Demarchi getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Kléber Queirós hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oscar Saldanha. Edmundo Espiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Oscar Saldanha had great luck who in the 27thth minute grab hold of the ball when Edmundo Espiga from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. It was a well-played corner which Sebastian Villa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Richard Moura hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Queirós in the 36th minute of the match. Honduras's attentive Luca Espinar managed to snatch the ball when Nelson Vidal made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Vidal made in the 54th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Júnior Meirelles. Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 56th minute of play. Oscar Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 69th minute of the match. With his leg Lautaro Navarro managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Squadra Demarchi's Kléber Queirós fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 71 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Pinho came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kléber Queirós. In the 76th minute Claudinho Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Espinar charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luca Espinar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luca Espinar hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Squadra Demarchi defense, Edmundo Espiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Saldanha. The Squadra Demarchi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Saldanha should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kléber Queirós got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 95th minute of play forced Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
