Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Mirea in the 5th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Juan Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Gaitan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paul Mirea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paul Mirea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match, Paul Mirea tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by UM Timisoara's Basarab Drăgoi. But to his dismay, Basarab Drăgoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Juan Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Oardă, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Mourato in the 39th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Basarab Drăgoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yuri Mourato went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Juan Gaitan made a huge save. The corner went over the outstretched arms of UM Timisoara's goalie and right to Salvador Gisbert. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. UM Timisoara's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 58 minutes into the match, UM Timisoara's goalkeeper Juan Gaitan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 59th minute, Basarab Drăgoi made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Paul Mirea succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-1. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Drăgoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Paul Mirea scored 7-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, UM Timisoara's Yuri Mourato tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Mirea in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Ernest Oardă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UM Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Mirea in the 85th minute of play. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Dumitru Dăianu with Alex Bungescu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. UM Timisoara walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
