Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Benavides having to make a save. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 5th minute. Guillermo Escalona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nelsinho Nóbrega hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Humberto Escobar made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Juan Benavides to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Escobar in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Humberto Escobar notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78thth minute of the game Humberto Escobar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Giancarlo Mora was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 83 minutes into the game, Martín Ulloa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute of the match Giancarlo Mora shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 93 minutes of play, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Martín Ulloa made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
