Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) UM Timisoara's Juan Gaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 3rd minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Gaitan having to make a save. Juan Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in UM Timisoara's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Gaitan came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Basarab Drăgoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. UM Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Basarab Drăgoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Mirea in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match, Paul Mirea tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 21st minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 27 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Gaitan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Juan Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 30th minute of play. Juan Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 minutes UM Timisoara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. In the 34th minute, Facundo Cadaval ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Gaitan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 36 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Mourato came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Paul Mirea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 2-3. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Juan Gaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The UM Timisoara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 2-3.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Mourato in the 58th minute of play. With a little luck, UM Timisoara's Juan Gaitan got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Mancebos short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Juan Gaitan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 62 minutes into the match, UM Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Juan Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Gaitan having to interfere. The supporters of UM Timisoara booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Mourato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. When Mexico's Joel Gaona in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UM Timisoara's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paul Mirea in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. The supporters of Mexico booed when UM Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlad Ghionaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Juan Gaitan made a huge save. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Mourato in the 86th minute of the match. UM Timisoara's Yuri Mourato got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Gaitan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. Basarab Drăgoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
