Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Harry Forsman, made in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 25th minute Robin Hood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Di Filippo in the 29th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Hermanö Oilers's Robin Hood fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingemar Stålman in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oskar Haeger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Julian Murillo came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oskar Haeger could save by the left post. A collision led to Hermanö Oilers getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Horea Popârcea hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robin Hood was the one to do the kick off. Hermanö Oilers's Oskar Haeger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 54th minute of play.
