Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. DE JONGE TIJGERS's Roland Duinhoven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 5th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Marco Heijen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DE JONGE TIJGERS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Heijen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of DE JONGE TIJGERS booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Dorval didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Marco Heijen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haiti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Alphonse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A throw-in in the 37th minute of the game was made by Hans Bergmeester with Izaak van der Meijde as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jurgen Zeeman might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noel Seide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jurgen Zeeman ran back to his position shaking his head. Berend Harmannus kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Claude Ulysse to maneuver through the defense. Jurgen Zeeman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Noel Seide. Haiti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karel Lucius to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Alphonse to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Youri Terpstra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Youri Terpstra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Noel Seide made a huge save. When the match was over DE JONGE TIJGERS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Haiti throughout the match.
