In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind PINGO PINGO's goalkeeper Dionisio Raphael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filip Josefsson was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of PINGO PINGO booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Filip Josefsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Rolando Noboa however easily saved by the left post. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Casimiro Claris in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 60th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Dionisio Raphael. PINGO PINGO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. A collision led to PINGO PINGO getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Desta Roy hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, PINGO PINGO's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Dionisio Raphael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionisio Raphael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Dionisio Raphael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. 84 minutes into the game, Casimiro Claris threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dionisio Raphael was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. PINGO PINGO's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Peru had won, even though PINGO PINGO had held more of the ball.
