Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by De Kasteelheren's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 5th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fokke Meijeringh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harold Rodenboog. After 12 played minutes De Kasteelheren got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Amaral. 17 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's Inácio Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montes in the 28th minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Fokke Meijeringh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fokke Meijeringh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harold Rodenboog might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harold Rodenboog ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Rodenboog came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Inácio Amaral in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 47th minute, Arif Ensar İsmet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Inácio Amaral made the kick off in the second half. Iwo Fafinski hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Daniel Zorita from long distance, 51 minutes into the match, got Fokke Meijeringh's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 64 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh. Fokke Meijeringh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Primitivo Andino charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Primitivo Andino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. After a rather tough play, De Kasteelheren's Inácio Amaral got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Fokke Meijeringh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Rodenboog came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inácio Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. When Inácio Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the De Kasteelheren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Amaral couldn't finish the play. Inácio Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. De Kasteelheren's Harold Rodenboog got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than De Kasteelheren throughout the match.
