Daniel Anton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match Milagros Cabal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Anton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Moises Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Daniel Anton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Cabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Anton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Emilian Blăniță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Emilian Blăniță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Negrescu made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Honduras's Edmundo Espiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniel Anton. That made the score 0-3 after 51 minutes of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Daniel Anton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Anton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Anton. Daniel Anton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 70th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Emilian Blăniță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Emilian Blăniță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 76th minute. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Daniel Anton came out and tried to block the shot, but Moises Tafalla slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 78th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the game, Denis Mănescu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Blăniță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Luca Espinar got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tineretul Arad throughout the match.
