In the 3rd minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Konrad Banan. Phantasy World's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, Jak Kaa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phantasy World's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Konrad Banan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Phantasy World was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacek Dankowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A hard shot 26 in the game by Bogdan Plucinik from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. A hard shot by Jak Kaa from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Bogdan Plucinik struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phantasy World. Bogdan Plucinik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Phantasy World defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Konrad Banan. The Phantasy World fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Konrad Banan should have stopped the shot. Konrad Banan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Napoleon Kojder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Konrad Banan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Phantasy World the free kick. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joshua Secada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Konrad Banan having to make a save. In the 84th minute, Patricio Costa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Konrad Banan, passed just outside the right post. Joshua Secada came free in the 88th minute and tried to tip the ball over Konrad Banan, but to the joy of Phantasy World's supporters the ball went over. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jak Kaa, made in the 91st minute of the game. After 95th play minutes Tomas Illescas shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Konrad Banan and just under the crossbar into goal. Venezuela played a much better game than Phantasy World and deserved their victory. The Phantasy World players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
