Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Evaristo Velasco made a huge save. When Pedro Indiano came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Indiano couldn't finish the play. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Polentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Dito Sena sped through Chile's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego.
