Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sten Melberg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute, Bengt-Rune Berg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 10th minute of play forced Di Röe's goalkeeper George Kristiansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Melberg in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Di Röe got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Rune Berg. In the 19th minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Agustín Saelices played forward. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Di Röe's goalie prevented a goal. George Kristiansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Kristiansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Melberg in the 34th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Sten Melberg sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the game, Di Röe's Sten Melberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Sten Melberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Sten Melberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Herman Benett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Herman Benett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camilo Gisbert made in the 61st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luis Andino however managed to control. 63 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goalkeeper George Kristiansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Di Röe's Arnaldo da Fonseca was substituted for Sten Melberg. Luis Andino made in the 71st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristian Sancho however managed to control. George Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cristian Sancho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Di Röe's George Kristiansson did a great save. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but George Kristiansson made a huge save. Cristian Sancho in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of George Kristiansson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 83rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Arnaldo da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Di Röe.
