To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 杜烨康 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Wool United's 杜烨康 got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Wool United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. Jorge Sainz was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but 杜烨康 made a huge save. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 傅鹏适 in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-2 when 孙强庭 sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The Wool United fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Wool United's 孙强庭 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wool United made a substitution. 范崇博 replaced 傅鹏适. 范崇博 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Wool United's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but 杜烨康 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by 范崇博 in the 96th minute. In the 98th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Carballal to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Wool United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
