Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Diego Bradley almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SPALLETTE RETURNS's Marco Silvestri did a great save. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Laudadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Silvestri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 20th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cosimo Laudadio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Day. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. When Cassius Byrne came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cassius Byrne couldn't finish the play. The supporters of USA booed when SPALLETTE RETURNS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davide Guerrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Silvestri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosimo Laudadio. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cosimo Laudadio made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Laudadio came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosimo Laudadio took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Marco Silvestri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 59th minute of the match. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SPALLETTE RETURNS made a substitution. Fortunato Santone replaced Armando Izzo. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Amedeo Palmieri was substituted for Adriano Biagetti. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosimo Laudadio in the 67th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosimo Laudadio in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. SPALLETTE RETURNS made a substitution. Antonio Nero replaced Achille Tullio. A sloppy throw-in by Jacob May in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SPALLETTE RETURNS's Amedeo Palmieri. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosimo Laudadio in the 76th minute of the match. Marco Silvestri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Campbell in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Edward Mcdonald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edward Mcdonald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. 85 minutes into the match, Khalid Parry dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marco Silvestri, 2-1. Davide Guerrini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Jacob May had to leave the field with a concussion. After 95 minutes, Augusto Bevilacqua mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SPALLETTE RETURNS and the USA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Augusto Bevilacqua kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The SPALLETTE RETURNS support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
